I had the chance to participate in a long-term one-to-one coaching program with Petra and the overall result exceeded my initial expectations. For the first sessions I prepared specific topics that I wanted to focus on – this led to very clear actions on my side and a much better understanding on whether I actually needed to work on some things or just leverage them as positive traits. After running out of clear focus topics, I was very curious to see how the second part of the coaching program would go. I was impressed by Petra’s skill in guiding our discussions towards new things that I hadn’t thought of and that led to deep and meaningful conversations with interesting follow-up actions on my side. In my view, coaching (specifically with Petra) is about inspiration… inspiration to take action. It helps me to consciously recognize what works well and I should do more of and be aware of what does not work and needs to be changed. It is amazing how through the questions you realize all by yourself what is the right step to do and what to focus on in order to have the desired impact. I think it is very important to realize that coaching is a continuous process. The coach has a key role, because his | her personal impact is what makes the process to be present in one’s mind and to be conscious about it.
